Another Snow Day for West Michigan!

This winter is not going away any time soon!  Record lows are predicted for overnight tonight, with the forecast calling for -5º or lower.  As of today we are in the record books for the second snowiest winter ever! And, COLD! We haven't heard about making up any days yet, but that may be coming.  We are running out of ideas for indoor recesses! I'm sure there will be plenty more of those after the snow melts and the playground turns to a mud bath.

I love SNOW DAYS!  However....I'm ready for spring!

SNOW DAYS!

I love snow days! What teacher doesn't? I'm not going to complain about them all being scrunched together and connected to Christmas Break! It does wreak havoc with the testing schedule, but look at it this way, we have most of our plans done for next week! And, we will have a full week next week but then there's Martin Luther King Day!

Winter is hitting us hard! Power outages, several inches of snow (it is being measured in feet in some places), and now the frigid wind chills! 86 days until Spring Break!

SNOW DAY! Merry Christmas!

Our winter break is starting a day early! We have freezing rain shutting down most of the schools in Kent County (Michigan).  We were able to do much of our celebration yesterday, as this storm was forecast-ed all week.  We made sure desks and lockers were cleaned out and Christmas projects were sent home. 
Now, it's time to start wrapping! I'm still in my jammies, sipping coffee, watching the news.  Thankful for this "bonus" day!
